April 18-19 Mrs. Karla Armstrong
Karla was born and raised in Baltimore, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree from The George Washington University in Russian Language and Literature, and served as a professional Russian linguist in government service for almost twelve years. She currently resides in Hanover, PA with her husband Mark. They have two boys named Aaron and Benjamin.
It was in 1996 when she received her first autoharp, a surprise gift from her husband. Karla is not a “paper-trained” musician, but plays by ear. That first autoharp kindled a mysterious attraction to and ability for unusual stringed instruments! In addition to chromatic and diatonic autoharp, Karla also plays the bowed psaltery, the hammered dulcimer, the mountain dulcimer, its hybrid cousin, the banjimer, the lever harp, and most recently, the fiddle.
Family and music are important to her, but her greatest passion is the Lord Jesus Christ. She is an avid student of scripture and an active member at Hope Baptist Church in Hanover, PA, where she and her family have made their home for over seventeen years.
April 25-26 Mrs. Beth Lynch
Beth (Cook) Lynch graduated from Bob Jones University in 1975 and was a Christian School educator in Va. Beach, VA until 1982, when she married Mac Lynch. They both traveled on The Wilds Evangelistic Team until 1988 when they became part of the permanent music staff of The Wilds Christian Association.
Together, Mac and Beth have been actively involved in music ministry and publications through The Wilds for the past 25 years. Women are encouraged and uplifted by Beth’s warm and unique way of presenting truth from God's Word in a sensitive manner.
The Lord has blessed Mac and Beth with 2 sons, Chris and Caleb. Both young men are studying for full-time ministry.
